York is a metropolis in England, in the UK. It stands on the junction of the rivers Ouse and Foss. York is the middle of the unitary authority  (native authorities space) of York.

Romans based York and referred to as it Eboracum. York Minster Cathedral is likely one of the best English church buildings. It was badly broken by hearth in 1984, however the church was repaired. The archbishop of York is second in authority to the archbishop of Canterbury within the Church of England. York’s historic websites appeal to many vacationers. The town is legendary for its museums, which embrace the Nationwide Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre.
