Most Western guests to Seoul head correct for the Gangnam neighborhood, whose glossy outlets and effectively-heeled clientele ended up immortalized in the monster pop hit “Gangnam Fashion.” But the city’s arty crowd is flocking to Hapjeong, which until finally not too long ago was merely an unexciting household extension of Hongdae, the bustling industrial district bordering the renowned arts university Hongik University. A marker of this area’s ascent was final fall’s opening of Mecenatpolis, a complicated that contains luxurious apartments, place of work buildings, an arts centre and a purchasing shopping mall.
