Ottawa

Ottawa <<AHT uh wuh>> is the capital metropolis of Canada. It lies within the province of Ontario alongside the south financial institution of the Ottawa River. Ottawa faces the town of Hull, Quebec, throughout the Ottawa River.

 Engaging parks, massive authorities buildings, and delightful streets add magnificence to the town.Canada’s Parliament buildings stand on a hill alongside the river. The Peace Tower rises from one of many Parliament buildings. It’s a monument to Canadians who died in wars.

Ottawa has many festivals yearly. One in every of them, held in Might, is the Tulip Pageant. Tens of millions of tulips bloom in parks, alongside roads, and round buildings.

In 1826, British troopers based the primary settlement within the space that’s now Ottawa. The settlement turned generally known as Bytown. Ottawa turned the capital of the Dominion of Canada in 1867. It remained the capital when Canada gained its independence from the UK in 1931.
