Lake Onega <
Lake Onega and Lake Ladoga are a part of a canal system that hyperlinks the Baltic and White seas. The system was accomplished in 1933. The federal government of the Soviet Union used political prisoners to construct a canal becoming a member of Lake Onega to the White Sea. Most of the prisoners died of chilly or hunger in the course of the work. That canal didn’t perform nicely. However by the 1980’s, enhancements had made it a serious waterway.
