Kingstown

Kingstown is the capital and largest metropolis of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. St. Vincent and the Grenadines is an island nation within the Caribbean. Kingstown lies alongside a bay on the southeast coast of St. Vincent Island. Kingstown’s harbor serves the town’s import and export commerce. This commerce is the idea of Kingstown’s financial system. A former British fort referred to as Fort Charlotte overlooks the town. Kingstown’s Botanic Backyard dates to 1765. It’s the oldest botanical backyard within the Americas.

 Carib Indians in all probability lived within the Kingstown space as early because the 1300’s. English and French settlers started to reach there within the 1600’s. Britain ruled St. Vincent Island from 1783 to 1979. The unbiased nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines was shaped in 1979.
