Port-au-Prince


Port-au-Prince <<pawrt oh PRIHNS>> is the capital and largest metropolis of Haiti. It’s on Haiti’s southwest coast, on the Gulf of Gonave. In 2010, a strong earthquake struck southern Haiti and destroyed most of Port-au-Prince.

French planters based Port-au-Prince in 1749. In 1804, Port-au-Prince turned the capital of the brand new nation of Haiti.Since then, the town has been the location of numerous political disturbances. It has additionally been broken by a variety of earthquakes, hurricanes, and tropical storms.
