Pisa


Pisa <<PEE zuh>> is an old Italian city. It is known for its marble bell tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The city lies on both banks of the River Arno, on Italy’s northwest coast. Pisa has a university founded in 1343. It also has an academy of fine arts established by the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. The town has valuable art treasures. It is also a manufacturing center.The famous Italian scientist Galileo was born in Pisa in 1564.
